Migraine without Aura

A migraine without aura is the most common type of migraine. It typically involves a throbbing or pulsating headache, often on one side of the head, and can last anywhere from a few hours to a few days.

Unlike migraine with aura, this type doesn’t have the warning signs such as visual changes or tingling sensations beforehand — the headache phase tends to appear more suddenly.

Migraines occur due to temporary changes in the way the brain and blood vessels communicate, which can make the nervous system extra sensitive to light, sound, and movement.

Common signs include:

  • Moderate to severe headache (often one-sided or behind the eye)

  • Nausea or vomiting

  • Sensitivity to light, sound, or smell

  • Fatigue or difficulty concentrating

  • Symptoms that worsen with physical activity or movement

Triggers can include stress, hormonal changes, missed meals, lack of sleep, dehydration, or certain foods and drinks.

The aim is to help you reduce the frequency and intensity of your migraines, improve your physical comfort, and give you practical tools to stay on top of your symptoms long-term.
