Vestibular Migraine
A vestibular migraine is a type of migraine that affects the balance system — not just the head. Instead of (or sometimes along with) the typical migraine headache, people often experience dizziness, vertigo, and sensitivity to movement.
These migraines occur when the parts of the brain and inner ear that control balance become over-sensitive. They can be triggered by things like stress, hormonal changes, certain foods, lack of sleep, or visual and motion stimuli (like scrolling, driving, or busy environments).
Common signs include:
Dizziness or a sense of spinning (vertigo)
Unsteadiness or feeling “off-balance”
Sensitivity to light, sound, or visual movement
Head pressure or headache (though sometimes no headache at all)
Nausea or fogginess, especially after movement or visual stimulation
The goal is to help you feel steadier, reduce dizziness, and regain confidence in your movement — while understanding what’s happening in your body and how to keep symptoms under control.
